nag elm as a Cloud-Service 

Initial Position

With the introduction of nag elm Swissdec Cloud, the Branchen Versicherung (BV) has the following business goals for its customers:

  • Introduction of electronic wage data reporting for policyholders who use Swissdec-certified wage accounting. (nag elm Swissdec Cloud)
  • Improved quality (significantly fewer errors and queries) thanks to electronic transmission, validation and plausibility rules.
  • With the introduction of nag elm, the manual effort is greatly reduced and the processes in the context of wage notifications are significantly accelerated.
Role nag

nag has successfully implemented the nag elm Swissdec product for the Branchen Versicherung in the cloud. This also includes acceptance and certification with the Swissdec distributor. A special requirement in this project is not only the implementation in the MS Azure Cloud, but also the generation of insurance profiles from the admin center.

nag takes over the further operation in the cloud and maintenance of the application on an ongoing basis, so that the BV can concentrate on its core business.

Aim

nag elm Swissdec Cloud was installed in Microsoft Azure. The following goals were achieved with the cloud solution.

  • Relief of internal and IT resources
  • Data storage in Switzerland
  • Increased product stability through standardization
  • Support and maintenance of nag elm and its infrastructure are simplified
  • The rollout of new versions is simplified
  • Costs for recipients can be optimized through variable design of the IT resources required at the corresponding declaration times
Customer

As a Swiss niche insurer, the « Branchen Versicherung Genossenschaft » (BV) specializes in small and medium-sized companies in a wide variety of industries. Thanks to the structure under cooperative law, customers are also co-owners and benefit from the company's income in the form of reimbursements.

The BV only looks after business customers based in Switzerland. These primarily include members of the partner associations, business owners and their families, for example butchers, druggists, opticians, security service providers, shoe retailers, photo dealers, radio, TV and multimedia dealers as well as sports dealers. BV is also increasingly insuring SMEs from other sectors.

BV sees itself as a qualified generalist for all insurance issues. They are characterized by quick and unbureaucratic action, personal customer contact, an understanding of the specifics of the individual industries and the ambition for the best tailor-made solution.
