The current ERP system and the entire application environment at Bachem have increased constantly in the past 15 years and would no longer meet the future requirements. Bachem therefore decided to perform an evaluation for a new system and finally chose SAP S/4HANA ERP. 

nag informatik was in charge of the data migration from the actual system to SAP S/4HANA. For this purpose, we used our well-established tool suite nag migrate und and the related procedure model:

• Data analysis and data cleansing in the actual systems
• Implementation of migration rules
• Design of the test and verification concepts for the data migration
• Implementation of the data migration in two steps: master data and transaction data

The aim was to implement SAP S/4HANA and all necessary peripheral systems, in order to decommission the actual solution. Thus, a major part of the project was the data migration from the existing ERP solution to SAP S/4HANA.
